So what are the main differences between the FIT and the FIT SERVO ?
The difference lies in the choice of drive for the man transmission. On the FIT-SERVO, the precision gearboxes of the FIT are replaced with Servo motors. So, the one has conventional transmission and the other has an “electronic” line transmission.
So how do they stack up performance wise in the real world ?
Register accuracy – identical
Print quality – identical
Press speed – identical
Waste – identical
Set up efficiency – identical
Why then FIT SERVO ?
It about offering a choice.
It provides Etirama a more electronicaly flexible platform for adding ancillaries customised for customers involved in specialised markets i.e. movable Rotary Silkscreen & cold stamping.
To suit individual perception. Some customers have come to associate Servo with modern technology and therefore feel it imperative to specify accordingly.
What is the difference in price then ?
The FIT SERVO is negligibly more expensive than the FIT. So little in fact that it is unlikely to influence the final choice one way or another.
What is the FIT SERVO not ?
It is not an attempt to use Servos to fix the performance on an inherently unstable press design.
